Yes, all of that is quite true. After my mother died, I got a job working with the elderly, and, to be honest, I fell in love with MANY of the residents of the nursing home where I worked for a time. Later, I worked with patients with Alzheimer's and dementia after I had trained to that specialty, and I became VERY attached to my patients.
