I always had a part of me appreciate the elderly
Seeing grey hairs means time and memories. In it is usually some form of wisdom
The more I poke at them randomly as I'm walking by, they open up to be so warmly and tell me such beautiful stories
There's so much personality in age that cannot be described. I genuinely think that if younger people connected with and were raised by a community feeling with the elderly, so many missing role models would just fill in
It's like free gems passing down for free
When it comes to those who aged in spite, pain, and bitterness, then I can understand (partially)
But doesn't that instill in you the notion to give them the hug they probably needed for years? Because they weren't born bitter that way. They probably lost a bit of faith you could restore
And those who survived long enough, you'd be so surprised with what you can learn or what people have been through
Maybe it's just the etiquettes I have been taught but even if it's foreign, my goodness will you find it worthwhile to just talk and ask a random question or ask random advice or hear a random story from the next person older than you that you find just enjoying the random walk on a Saturday
