My core belief is that there is always more to learn. Even when there are setbacks in life, I try to see it as an opportunity to learn from the pain and discomfort so that I can do better next time.

Sometimes that means the chance to learn emotional intelligence as well. It's not all about knowledge and facts, but also about our shared experiences and figuring out better ways of dealing with adversity

Maybe it stems from low self-esteem issues as a kid and never feeling good enough, but for me it's been working out nicely. While other people get to coast through life with unearned confidence, I've gotten to work on myself and to mature in ways others never took the opportunity to

@TinyViolins I can relate to that

@meggie I have wished that
meggie · F
@Lostpoet once I was trapped and very unhappy, so I sold my car and booked a flight abroad. My whole life changed for the better. It's just getting the courage to take the plunge....
Lostpoet · M
@meggie I'm happy that it worked out for you. I tried getting away and I've only made things worse, but I think it's because I held on to all the bad stuff and I treated everyone around me as if they were apart of it.

I like sports videos even though they are kind of repetitive.
I have a belief that life turns.
So even when its shitty and hard, you just have to wearher it out untill 'life turns' again.

Inertia? Knowing my wife is no longer capable of feeding the pup -- or herself -- breakfast.

😀
Why is this in the aging /growing old group
Lostpoet · M
@bookerdana Because most mornings that's what scares me and I have to do something that motivates me to keep going. Not that growing old is bad it's inevitable.
