I'm older than you. But there are still parts of me that are 25, and, I guess, always will be.
The distance and conflict between the two ages is sometimes realized in me in the statement, "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

@SW-User eventually I find something, I’m sure I’ve seen at least 1 before!

Yea I don’t feel like I’m 50. But yet I am. And what is 50 ? Idk. When I was in my 20s, I thought 50 was old. But I don’t think that way anymore. But when I’m 60 I don’t know if I can still say that.

Oh, your only 55. Your too young for me to talk to. You are what we call a Whippersnapper. I'm 56
How do you think I feel? I'm 18yo!
Sojournersoul · M
Only a number.
Ducky · 31-35, F
I'm sure I'll be thinking that too if I ever make it to that age. Especially since I've always connected well with women much older than me since I was in my twenties. I'll probably be thinking "Oh wait, now I'm finally getting on well with women my own age." 🙃

I'm 56 soon. Are you talking about meeting people for dating or just in general?
OldBrit · 61-69, M
Yes I was talking with a member of my home group on Monday about childbirth as a friend just became a granddad. She was recounting her daughter's untimely arrival in a meeting I was at lol. But theni talked about my son's birth. She just said that was 5 years before I was born. I feel so old suddenly. Oh yeah I'm 61 maybe that's why.

@OldBrit I'm 56 soon and will have my first grandchild this month when my eldest daughter (26) has her first. I'm still single and wasn't at the (emergency) birth of my 6 y/o who turns 7 in a week. Circumstances... It's super-difficult to feel comfortable meeting people where I might feel attraction to who are significantly younger (20 or more yrs difference) since it feels wrong.

You're young! I remember the 50's.

Hey babe. 😉😎😆

It’s always good but seems impossible.
Some places they have groups like that who meet regularly.

Well sometimes we still feel like 25, can't do anything about it 😀
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
I quite agree. Mindtricks. 😅

I'm a bit scared to meet people significantly younger that I might find attractive because I know it would never work out well.
Dadbod52 · 56-60, M
my mind says 25, my body says 59 lol

You don’t look 55, that’s why. You look younger.

I remember my grandfather telling us a story whenever he'd come over to our place, where he'd start out by saying he had a run-in with "some old bugger about 60..."
Then time would pass and when he'd tell us of another run-in he'd had, the other person was always "some old bugger about 65..."
As time marched on, the astute side of my brilliant mind suddenly made me aware that the older my grandfather got, the older the "old bugger about 70.." also got who he'd be talking about each time he told a story!
After many years of this, my father eventually told me that my grandfather was always talking about the same "old bugger" each time, who happened to be a life-long friend of my grandfather's who was only 2 years older than he was!
