Seniors are the most precious people

Besides babies and toddlers lol. ๐Ÿ’•
I went to my dad's nursing home today and because it was 70 degrees, a few residents were out in the garden area in their wheelchairs. It was just so touching seeing them enjoy the sun.

They often roll in their chairs up and down the halls and are so frail..and often look really sad. It is heartbreaking knowing they can't do anything but sit in their chair or go to the activity room for music. But just wondering about their past and what they were like years ago touches my heart ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ’“

After my surgery last spring, I spent 2 weeks in a home, for wound care and rehab.

It was mostly much older people, who could not get around well. I got around with a walker, first assisted, and then on my own. Yet the doors had alarms so I could not go outside.

I did not go to the lounge often because I did not think the chairs were comfortable. Later, I found a table with cards and played free cell. They came looking for me once since it was pill time!

I was so glad to get out of there. It was horrible. Noisy, hopeless people, and poor service. English was a second language of most staff. I kept asking them to repeat themselves.
