As I get older myself, I have less and less tolerance for so-called "boomer" talk.

Such as when my dad tells me to put an ad for the apartment in "the paper".

I know what he means, and I know for like 80% of his life, that was how it was done. But it bugs me. And I'm really not sure why.

One day people will think you’re quaint and irrelevant too. It’s a part of life.

@WintaTheAngle I know. I'm just trying to figure out why it is I get so annoyed by simple things like that. It's not like I don't know what he means.

@LordShadowfire didn’t you say earlier it was because of things that happened to your mother while she was carrying you?

@WintaTheAngle I mean, that's why I get angry so easily, but I'm trying to figure out why this in particular is annoying. I know he means Craigslist, or wherever all the cool kids go to rent houses.

Maybe it's just that it bugs me how old he is, because he's going to be dead soon.

@LordShadowfire That’s a reason to enjoy your time with. Focus on the stuff that actually matters.

And don’t call him a boomer - that never comes from a place of respect.

@WintaTheAngle I never do. Never.
