I notice more men than women limping as the result of a stroke

Very rarely do I see women with the same affliction.
Is that because more men have strokes than women?

Actually more women have strokes according to the American Heart Association

@Gibbon Yes. I had a look at the figures. It seems more women have strokes but at a later age than men.
Which must account for me seeing mostly men, as women average more strokes after age 75. The mortality rate for strokes is higher for women because of the higher age.
