Well it used to be that your premiums were based on your lifestyle, like if you smoked your premiums were higher.
I was told by an agent while comparing insurance options that they can't discriminate because of the affordable health care act.
You dont smoke but you get to pay the same rate as someone who does.

My city actually tried allowing public nudity, with specific restrictions, about 15 years ago. I remember guys on EP joked about moving here, imagining beautiful naked women everywhere.
I can state definitively that the typical nude people I encountered were male and 50+, without "beach" bodies. Might’ve been the reason that as quickly as the nude statute was established, it was hastily repealed…

@bijouxbroussard Haha! I generally support allowing public nudity so long as hygiene is maintained. That's my primary concern. But if you have to carry a towel around to use public seating you may as well wear clothing at that point. "Ugly" bodies wouldn't bother me. We don't require people with "ugly" faces to wear masks.
I think the problem really does lay with the guys who sexualize nudity. It would be hoped that over time people got used to it and it wouldn't be titillating because it wouldn't be special or associated with sex. But that normalization window is really long and leaves way too much opportunity for people to be victimized along the way. So it's a rough subject. I give your city credit for the attempt though.

Losing weight is very difficult. I've been trying for years.
I am down about a hundred pounds from my high, but I would love to lose more

Hi Ruby :) would you like to chat?
Also, a really intriguing hypothetical. But let’s stick to clothes in public spaces xD

No. And I'm a nudist. And a skinny one at that.
You don't force people to do anything and have it work.
Does speeding stop when traffic ticket fines are givning? The best you can do is slow it down. Not stop it.

No. That would just lead to hate crimes against the obese and honestly worse behaviors. One of the problems facing the US right now is that everyone is eager to blame others for problems. There's no willingness to work together to achieve anything.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout They’ve done that recently in Oklahoma. Still sell potato chips and other types of junk foods though.

That would require lawmakers to be rational. I question that premise

@OogieBoogie That was an issue here. During the brief period public nudity was allowed in some parts of the city, the statute was updated requiring that nude people carry a towel to sit on in places like libraries, cafes, public transportation, etc.
Because some folks have no common sense. 🤨
