I’ve had it twice, but never had the typical rash. On my jaw, it looked like a very light breakout and my arm and chest I had nothing, they said I caught it in time. I knew when I felt itchy and didn’t feel me scratching- I went straight to urgent care and told them I knew it was it b/c I felt that last time. They never believe it b/c of my age at the times. My neuro said it often hits your weaker parts- for me he said the jaw was likely b/c I get severe migraines and have a lot of neck pain. Not sure about the chest/arm. I have nerve damage from both. The first caused trigeminal neuralgia. I wouldn’t stop taking that med if I were you.

The first time they all thought it was a stroke warning 🙄 but I didn’t have any risk factors.
@CloudAngel80 Yeah I think there is something in that. Once the rash is gone I found acupuncture was helpful and I still get a regular reflexology treatment.

@Notladylike dont do the surgery!! Stay with what u know

@CloudAngel80 Some Drs don’t care, but honestly I would’ve taken that vaccine. Trigeminal neuralgia is no joke, it used to be referred to as the suicide disease b/c people were killing themselves from the pain.

[/c][/i]Thats horrible they did that.. I told them I was in excruciating pain and they tried to get me in an ambulance saying they felt I was having a stroke. I said I don’t have one risk factor for stroke and since when does it cause excruciating pain?! I have a high pain tolerance too.

Ice helps you? It makes my so much worse, instantly. I won’t do surgery either! I use Trileptal when I need to, but only when it’s unbearable. It used to be awful label for that because it’s not what it was made for but a lot of people get relief from it and it’s the only thing that helped me. Though you have to be careful in the sun if I’m not mistaking with it. That in the Bed Buddy original sinus packs help(moist heat). @Notladylike

I’m so sorry I’ve had it on my face, I got the antivirals quite quickly so the rash itself didn’t spread too much. I can’t tell from the photo, the blisters look advanced if it is shingles. Have you been given antivirals? It’s very painful and the burning pain you’ve described sounds like shingles 🥺
@CloudAngel80 Honestly I would have tried anything too. I did go to a Chinese medicine specialist and found it helpful. They explained shingles is an opportunistic presentation that occurs when the body is run down. I took all kinds of herbs and stuff.

I had it on my face, in my eye and in my hair once. It's so painful, felt like really bad sun burn. I got some antiviral meds and it soon cleared up. Get well soon. I do sympathise xx

EWW!! I have never had shingles, nor anything that looks like this, sorry, just came here out of morbid curiosity and to say I'm so sorry you have this. 😱

Generally speaking however, if three doctors said that it's shingles, it's probably shingles, don't you think? I hope you get rid of it soon. 🫂

Laser therapy can stop the pain from those lesions almost immediately
TexChik · F
@CloudAngel80 Bacitracin works better on sores and betadine does not burn but will nuke the topical infections around the lesion . Time tested

@CloudAngel80 If your sweat glands get active, it hurts; both stress and anxiety make your sweat secrete

Why three doctors? It's standard shingles. Any doctor would know that.
