Arthritis, I use turmeric and it's worked better than anything else i've tried, even the poison that the doctor prescribed.

@OogieBoogie I'll try my bestest, excuse any 'accidental' mishaps 😆

tell me about it, I shaved 4 inches off my waist last year and it's staying off, less material to wash so saves on the washing powder 🤣

Enough to send my travel insurance through the roof. Diabetes Type 2 is just the beginning, but there are enough meds in my cupboard to mean the pharmacy uses a fork lift to get to the counter. (Thank God for the NHS)

There may a little exaggeration in this response...but not much. I am not dragged down by all this, fortunately, and my mental health seems to be ok,

Arthritis in my lower back, hips and knees. Tendonitis that never gets better in both wrists. The left wrist is the worst, and chronic gastroenteritis with three ulcers that flare up horribly if I am not VERY careful.

I can't consume any of the standard treatments for arthritis, because that causes the ulcers to flare up.

I take meds for hypothyroidism and depression/anxiety. Arthritis affects every day but I don’t always take medication for it.
@JustNik I don't have hypothyroidism, but I've dealt with depression and anxiety all my life, from the time I was a little kid. I'm on medication for both. But, like you, I don't always take the medications. (Well, I do the Wellbutrin. I need to stay on schedule with that one. But not the benzos or the pregabalin, which can help with anxiety.)
My brain is obviously self-destructive. It neglects to perform its duty to tell me “breathe, breathe” when I’m asleep. But that’s not all. “Brain seizures” occur without medication, which means the captain of my boat just leaves the helm and may return in seconds, but sometimes it’s an hour or more. I don’t faint or fall, but there’s a VACANCY sign flashing across my forehead.

Menieres Disease (inner ear disorder).
Hypertension - I take a calcium channel blocker.
Sciatica.
Pigment Dispersal Syndrome, misshapen eye causes blindness eventually possibly.
Alcoholism.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, not fun. Without it I'd probably be a lot happier and fully independent.

What a pity, I lament your illnesses; thoughts and prayers.
hunkalove · 70-79, M
I don't know what it is but I feel terrible. I couldn't afford to go to a doctor even if I was dying. Which I probably am.
Trav2024 · 51-55, M
