Try breathing excercises to calm your anxiety
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@Sweetpoison I do use those, it does help sometimes. I find the best thing for me is to keep busy. I painted a lot yesterday and that helped. Today I am doing some work to make Monday easier for me that's helping too. :)

It do be like that, where physical symptoms bleed into the mental symptoms and then a vicious cycle gets going. Your thoughts sound totally grounded, though. Idk if either of these would be appropriate for you but I'd just like to mention the value in adaptogenic herbs (probably not, since you're on Rx) and magnesium in it's many forms.

It is temporary, just like good times are temporary. You will recover 🤗

As someone who has had cardiac problems, I know exactly how you feel. I was very scared, both before and after my surgery, and it was only until I was checked out that I started to calm down. If you ever want to talk to somebody who's gone through heart problems and the anxiety associated with it, I am here. I got your back.

Pretzel · 70-79, M

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I felt that way after my stroke, I swear I didn't sleep the first week at all.
I used to get them, and they really are horrid. 🫂

I take 0.5mg of generic ativan twice a day, after waking up and before bed, it stops my anxiety palpatations quickly if I need to take a third one any time of day or night. I had to start taking them in february 2018 after a horrendous panic attack sent me to the er thinking I was having a cardiac event linked to my terminal cardiopulmonary disease I am now on assisted oxygen 24/7 for.
