anyone ever have blood clots

Yes I have had blood clots in my leg before. This is something you don't want to delay treatment on. Just do what the doctor said and you will be fine. I don't believe I don't know for sure but I don't think you'll have to have surgery since you're taking the blood thinners. They might do a ultrasound to see if the thinners worked and they really should. I am definitely going to pray for you my dear. I'm really sorry to hear you're having to go through this, Pearl. I just had one Stent and arterial bypass surgery on my right leg. The Stent wasn't a big deal, but the arterial bypass was rough. It took 2 months for the pain to go away. They don't tell you how invasive the surgery is. The damage to muscles and nerves. I will say my leg and foot are no longer swollen and I walk much better. I guess it's worth it as the option was losing my foot

There are more options before to explore first. Beside blood thinners, clot busters or possibly a filter. It’s kind of common at our age so don’t panic.

People I know did and did not. Every case is unique. Just ensure you have good specialists and dont be afraid to ask lots of Qs until you get the As you need! Good Luck!

My wife has a dvt and is now on xeralto for life.

Blood clots are nothing to play around with. If you have a swollen leg from a clot, do whatever is needed to remedy that.

It is a medical emergency and needs immediate care. The first treatment is more intensive anticoagulation therapy then perhaps vascular manipulation.
