Have you ever had a stress rash?

I believe they’re the same as hives…?

If you have, how did you deal with them (or better yet, get rid of them!!)?

I had these hive-like things show up on my collarbone area a few days ago and I don’t know how to get rid of them. 😞
It’s annoying

Cortisone cream usually helps..and finding your triggers and eliminating them..which isn't always easy if your trigger is like, life.

Yes. I used to suffer very badly from it. I was diagnosed with urtacaria and i was treated with oral steroids and antihystamines and a cream to ease tge itching. It was awful. Usually, bouts would just start with a little iych, say, on my arm and with in minutes it would spread to my entire torso. It would last a couple of hours and go leaving no trace!
But this one time, about 15 years ago, during a not so great time in my life it just didnt go away. It lasted about a month...i was off work for weeks.
But.....i hardly ever get it these days, in fact i cant even recall the last time i did!

@RubySoo oh man that sounds awful….I’m glad you don’t get that anymore!

@ImpeccablyImperfect thank you.
I hope you manage to get yours under control. It might be worth trying to work out if any foods you eat affect it too. Dairy made mine worse.... and i always ate more chocolate when i got stressed.

@RubySoo good point. I’ll start paying attention to that too…thank you 😊

Experienced them for the first time after I had a panic attack. Mine were also located on my collarbones and spread to my chest because their persistence only added to the freak out factor I was wrestling with. Invested in a ton of calamine lotion and applied it every time I would feel the uncomfortableness coming. It took a couple of weeks, but they subsided the more my anxiety did.

@acupaday You say “every time you feel it coming on”…were they always present and would just start itching intermittently? Mine are just here all the time. They don’t go away and then come back…🤷‍♀️ I have an apptmt with my doc on the 6th, if they’re still here I’ll ask her I guess 🤦‍♀️

@ImpeccablyImperfect The hives never left during that time, but the itching would come and go. Fingers crossed they’re gone by then. If not, she’ll get you squared away.

Yes and it went away with an antihistamine

A combination of cortisone cream and lifestyle stuff, because it tends to happen when the body’s natural immunity is down due to fatigue, stress, etc. So drink lots of fluids, try to get some sleep, go for healthy food and exercise.

I sometimes get them on my ankles 🤷🏻‍♂️ no idea why

I alternate between Cortisone and Benadryl creams - seems to reduce the itching.

Besides using Benadryl or Hydrocortisone cream try Benadryl or Zyrtec pills.

If its hives caused by stress it can be treated with steriods most I heard of are hands and arms but they do take care of the problem
akindheart · 61-69, F

With any sort of rash I use; Savlon antiseptic cream.

If I say yes will you kiss it better? 👀
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
@SW-User nooo, you misunderstand….I’m dealing with the hives right now, and looking for some relief!! 😣
SW-User
@ImpeccablyImperfect I did not misunderstand. I'm just overly playful
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
@SW-User haha oh okay 😝
BabyLonia · F
I often do.

An anti-histamine helps and then some hydrocortisone
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
Use Cortisone cream on them. A Dermatologist can give you the really good stuff.
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
@Musicman I do have some here (prescription) maybe I’ll try that…I didn’t think of it.
My late ex fiancee's younger son got them all the time, I'm actually surprised he never got addicted to benadryl.
