@Stereoguy Wasn't it for the fact that it's global.. I don't think viruses could care less about elections to be frank.

@Stereoguy The problem is, they don't function like that. If it's the natural virus it's already out there and doesn't need to be "released". If it's an artificial one, any lab, public or private, that has the means to sequence it, would have a major interest in getting credited for being the first to publish such finding.
