I haven’t but I just recently went through an ordeal with my son who broke his ankle in 3 places and got 8 screws and a plate. Next month he’ll get 3 screws taken out. He was out of work 5 months and will be out for a month next month. Take it easy and listen to your doc. Slow and steady. Feel better. 🤗

@Keepitsimple that's too much to respond to, so I'll smile 😁😂

@Keepitsimple Its just.. he's a man. I must respect his macho. Therefore I am not allowed to acknowledge his emotions 😂
Happy new year!

Only fractures. My brothers on the other hand. They don't break, they shatter. My little bro has shattered his arm twice. They had to put a steal rod in to help it set. And my older brother shattered his clavicle, he had gone out to celebrate getting selected to play both tennis and football professionally and ended his career before it even began.
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@Thevy29 fuuuuuuuck. That sounds terrible
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@Quickquestion My bro got into drugs big time. The #2 tennis player took my brothers #1 spot. And every time he was on TV my brother got worse into drugs. He had a kid. And it took a lot of effort to get him to realize he needed to turn his life around. And he did. Doing well for himself. So a happy ending.
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@Thevy29 This trip to SW has been quite coincidental. I am currently struggling with such things. I have programs to help me out though
4meAndyou · F
Nope. Just standard fractures...BUT I have had surgery to repair really bad arthritis in my shoulder, where they cut off the ends of the bones in the collarbone, (all part of the shoulder joint), and the resultant scar tissue acts like a rubber eraser placed between the joint. They TOLD me it would stop hurting in one year...and it didn't. For TWO years I could not lie on that side in bed, and to this day I can't carry anything really heavy with that arm, or else it aches for weeks.

@Quickquestion Long and constant pain does wear you down, and you can't help being a grizzly bear at times...when the level of pain amps up a bit. BUT...if you stay away from people on those days, they might not notice the bi-witchiness...🤣
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@4meAndyou that's why you're the only one who knows I struggled 😂
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
i had to be the bearer of bad news but it will probably take a good year. lol i also broke a bone actually two AND they were protruding from my leg😰
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@DeluxedEdition oh hell nah. I need to be put to sleep and at least 50 Xanax to be ok with being cut.
But it would be dope to be a cyborg 😎

Yes. When I was little my brother was giving me a ride on his bike and my foot got caught in the spoke of the bicycle and he broke all the bones across my foot.
Good times.
Good times.
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@dontbekoi that reminds me, I broke my foot because my dad left a half empty ice bag on his porch. I worked 2 weeks before I forced a hospital trip. So stupid. It could have been so much better. Never be stubborn about broken bones
UnderLockDown · M
5 bones in my neck, shattered one side of my jaw, broke a bunch of teeth, and cracks up one side of my face that caused my left eye socket to change shape...
It hurt like a M*therF*cker!!! I'm surprised I lived through it. Stayed conscious through the whole thing too.

Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@UnderLockDown my fuck. I got hit with about 300lbs of lumber and thought I had it bad. Didn't break a damn thing. Lucky me.
Seriously though, be careful with that neck. I'm not unfamiliar with those bones.

@Quickquestion Broken neck has got to be one of the worst things that can happen, it hurts forever!! I get headaches that make a real migraine feel like a stroll in the park.🤕
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@UnderLockDown that and a broken back. I'm lucky it never happened to me, but I was there through my grandfather's physical therapy.
Be strong bro 👊

A fracture is a break, a break is a fracture. The extent and type of a fracture may have different terms.
And yes, it hurts. Wait till they want to lift one of your knees out of your body.

@Quickquestion Never say never. I'm a little (okay, a whole lot) ADHD, so I eventually notice everything. 😉
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@Graylight oh if you ever pick up on me, I will be impressed. I guess the game is on lol
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Quickquestion Hmm, intruiging. I like a good adventure.

@WaryWitchWandering my g 👊
Scarfface · 46-50, M
Yes, leg, arm and hands, not all at the same time though, that would be horrible.
Scarfface · 46-50, M
Not in half though 😬
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@Scarfface in half is next level shit. I thought I knew about broken bones.. then...
Still though, leg bones are s very strong. Even a minor fracture likely hurts quite terribly. Broke one foot, but still, small bones. Big bones don't break gracefully

Yes I did. Mine actually didn't hurt too much, but do have a plate in my arm as a result
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@SW-User ok Rambo. Make my lil hand bone look like it ain't shit. That's cool. A Lil condescending, but that's cool man 😂
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
I've broken lots of bones over the years, fortunately, most of them weren't mine... 🤔
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
Not in half. 😳 But I dislocated my knee before.
TexChik · F
You had a surgical repair done I hope

Muldoon · 56-60, M
I've had my sternum cut in half for surgery.
That hurt for at least a month.

basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Nah. Only had greenstick fractures.
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@basilfawlty89 I almost feel like I'll regret asking, but what is that?
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Quickquestion it's when the bone almost breaks in half but still hangs on by a small thread
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@basilfawlty89 oh, that's not so bad. I wasn't so lucky lol
i have never broken a bone in my life
Quickquestion · 31-35, M
@deathfairy as a female, you may keep that up...
Nah, that ain't right at all.. nevermind that nonsense.
Hope you never break one though. It's not fun
