Any advice about what to do for thinning hair on an older woman in her late 50's (me)?

In my teens, 20's and 30's I had very thick hair. Not anymore. Are there vitamins I can take to help? Hair treatments?
Collagen, B vitamins. Hair loss is common with the women in my family, I starting losing hair a few years ago and used Vivescal hair supplements and thickening serum, I think it helps a lot.

@666Maggotz It seems to be common with the women in my family too, but I thought I would have thick hair in my older years because my dad went to his grave at 73 with a full head of hair.
Thank you for your suggestions. I will give those a try 😊

Why don’t you consult a dermatologist?

@Fertilization Yes, that would probably be wise

My husband was facing the same problem. He consulted a good Dermatologist and since then he has been taking his vitamins and using certain hair sprays and shampoo.
I can see the good results @DemureDeb

@Fertilization my barber suggested a different shampoo, with oil built in, I am much better!

Iron supplement or if your on medication, also the recent vaccines have caused hair loss.

Yes I had hair loss going through my break up, I took iron and sea kelp. Helped me too.

@Fairydust I'm sorry about your break up. My mom put me on sea kelp when I was young. I should try it again.

Aw it was just very stressful 😌 it was for the best lol

It has a lot of benefits, I still take it.
See a competent, licensed dietician that is very knowledgeable about this matter!

Use gentle shampoo, but check with a dermatologist.
