In two-parent families, one parent is typically the disciplinarian and the other is laid back.

Sometimes the mom, sometimes the dad.

@HootyTheNightOwl not really. The term partner started when the LGBTQ community had boyfriends and girlfriends that didn't want to be called either...because they was just weird or transgender.
So to distinguish whether male or female...boyfriend or girlfriend should be used

@Midlifemale "Partner" in itself is an umbrella term, often used to cover all bases. You have a wife... she is your wife and your PARTNER. There's no need to be splitting hairs when it's a simple question that you clearly understood and could easily have answered without help to understand.

@Nitedoc Well not really because I tried it and then the SW police stepped in my comments can be very explicit and they will only let you express yourself so much and mine can be very intense and I'm told that there are youngsters on here as young as 12-13 so there's no telling who you are talking to on here I'm not lecturing you I'm just relating from my experience with SW

His answer was that he picked up her habit of reading, which for him, wasn't a BAD habit. What's missing??
