For those who exercise regularly, how do you react to missing a workout?

I just missed my first one this year, and kinda having a crisis. Not sure whether to go heavier in the next workout, to add a makeup day, to cut back on the calories, or to just let it go and continue like nothing happened. I'm leaning towards the last one, but I'm curious to see how other people go about it

I am a bit obsessive about it, so I need to learn to take some days off or relax a bit on it. I've been known to finish late into the night if I am too busy during the day to do it and that does mess with my sleep. Not really a healthy approach.
