For those who exercise regularly, how do you react to missing a workout?

I just missed my first one this year, and kinda having a crisis. Not sure whether to go heavier in the next workout, to add a makeup day, to cut back on the calories, or to just let it go and continue like nothing happened. I'm leaning towards the last one, but I'm curious to see how other people go about it

I don't really work out but I do some stretching exercises in the morning to help loosen up my muscles. I can really tell a difference when I don't do it
