@Ian1892 As I said, good diet is the most important thing. But what really helped me before on building muscle relatively fast, was having BCAA during and after workout and whey protein post workout. When I get back to the gym again, I might stick only to BCAA and just get my post workout protein from regular meals.
@Ian1892 Powder is better because you can dissolve 1.5 scoop in bottle of water and keep taking sips during and after your workout. I’ve taken Xtend and Amino-X but Xtend was better.
