Swampflower has been there for me when so many people on this website chose to hurt me.
Intentionally or unintentionally.
And they did succeed.
And it mirrored my childhood almost exactly, the same social dynamics, the same silences, the same instinct to protect what feels easier rather than what is right, both offline and online.
I’m saying this with pain, heart fragmenting, and it takes real bravery for me to say it out loud. I don't like being vulnerable or saying I was hurt/harmed.
But I have to show how much what swampflower did matters to me. She looked at the whole picture, not just the parts that made others feel safe or unchallenged or like a one community. She understood , truly empathized and made decisions based on that. She did what even my own mother failed to do. She didn’t turn away from me. She tried to protect me and I don't allow everyone to do that for me.
Her presence matters to me more than she probably knows. She is real, loving and good. One of the few real people here.
