I'm sorry that happened. It can be frustrating, but please don't stop writing long, thoughtful replies. Don't let one bad thing happening change one thing about you. You are perfect just the way you are.🤗
@Journaling4Me awww 🥹

Punxi · F
I offer what I have to say regardless of the type count it takes. An expression of good will free of charge in that I expect no recipient pat on my back for havin' done so.
@Punxi
[withdraws hand extended to pat you on the back, with a defeated look, after reading the last part]

😉
@Punxi you rock
@Punxi What ThePatientA said. 👍🏽😊
I stopped doing it years ago on here. I realized the attention spans were lacking where reading is concerned with the vast majority and it's only gotten worse as time has gone on. Frustrating as hell sometimes isn't it? Sorry it's happening to you 😞
@ThePatientAnarchist Oh wow that's awesome! I hope you get it then! I hope your colleague got theirs as well!
@DancingStarGoddess It's pretty much settled for my colleague. I am hoping to finish a book I have begun working on before I apply for my promotion, so we are looking at probably 2 years from now, wish me ongoing strength :)
@ThePatientAnarchist I wish you not only ongoing strength, but great focus on the book(I hope it's an amazing read) and luck on the promotion.😊

The other day, I started to write a reply but then I got hungry and went to cook lunch, when I got back in about an hour, I wrote further, clicked on send but the post was gone. 😂
@CrazyMusicLover oh noooo
@CrazyMusicLover This has happened to me

People simply don't take the time to read a long post. It's a shame because some are full of wisdom.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
Yup, done that many times. I would write it and post it thinking it would trigger a deep and consequential chat. And then ... nothing. 🙄
Selah ·
Whenever someone posts a long reply I wait until I get home, I make a cup of tea and then I snuggle up in bed to read it.
@Selah awww, now I am highly motivated to write a long reply to some post of yours 🍵
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
lmao. Story of my life.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
Even worse: writing a long, thoughtful reply, hitting "post comment" and then getting the message that says the post no longer exists!
Prettybratbi1tch · 26-30, F
Keep it short and sweet

It would happen to me on EP; so no more long replies here. Why should I waste my time? 😜
yestestvennaya · 26-30, F
@yestestvennaya yes. Yes, I do.
1490wayb · 56-60, M
otay buckwheat
@1490wayb 🤔
Nanori · F
Orrrrr you could take a hint and only leave long replies for SWers who usually write long posts
@Nanori I leave long replies when the post sparks a lot of thoughts. I probably should just see them as creative writing prompts.
Journaling4Me · 56-60, F
@ThePatientAnarchist I do this too, sometimes. 🙂
@Nanori Good note!
I only do it when I think the poster might find it of interest.
hunkalove · 70-79, M
This isn't the place for long thoughtful replies. Keep it short and sweet and not too perverted.
@hunkalove yeah okay
hunkalove · 70-79, M
Whatever happened to speed reading? Don't nobody do that no more?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
People only like large picture books and if they can try to fit shapes into a hole like one of those toys meant for 3 year olds
@SatanBurger

You makin' fun of me??
Magenta · F
@SatanBurger That's about it. Preschool brains.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@rinkydinkydoink Yes 😶
Nanori · F
Here we have the attention span of a goldfish

Remember that 🙂

@Pressure I've certainly been in that position!
My latest long thoughtful reply has garnered exactly one heart though! 🙄

But mention tits and balls and you're suddenly a stand up comedian on a world tour with a groupie
