I stopped doing it years ago on here. I realized the attention spans were lacking where reading is concerned with the vast majority and it's only gotten worse as time has gone on. Frustrating as hell sometimes isn't it? Sorry it's happening to you 😞
@DancingStarGoddess thank you. I think it's still worth it for me to write these replies, as least sometimes, because it helps me to sort out my own thoughts. Similarly, some SW posts bring up memories and I am grateful for that even if they wouldn't be of interest to anyone else.

Also how are you doing? (Asking because your profile says not to message you! :) )
@ThePatientAnarchist You're very welcome! And I'm great actually! Having a bit of a crazy day but not too shabby. How are you? 😊
@DancingStarGoddess well I just got through a somewhat stressful meeting. A colleague was up for promotion in the academic ranks and I was on the committee to decide if he would get the promotion. I myself want to apply for promotion probably in another couple of years, so I was worried about how strictly our requirements were going to be applied to this colleague. The criteria were not applied strictly at all, and so now I am optimistic that I'll probably get up there to "full professor" eventually as well :)
@ThePatientAnarchist Oh wow that's awesome! I hope you get it then! I hope your colleague got theirs as well!
@DancingStarGoddess It's pretty much settled for my colleague. I am hoping to finish a book I have begun working on before I apply for my promotion, so we are looking at probably 2 years from now, wish me ongoing strength :)
@ThePatientAnarchist I wish you not only ongoing strength, but great focus on the book(I hope it's an amazing read) and luck on the promotion.😊
