Who is or isn't a catfish. Some people verify their identity because Christ forbid someone on the internet lies to strangers about who they are. Cause there is a snowman's chance in hell they might meet one day.

@LordShadowfire My parents almost died from it. My dad still thinks it was just influenza. I told him that even Trump recommended the vaccine. That didn't seem to help. It is what it is.

@Fretnought I know, I know, but it's like watching a little kid insistently try to stick a fork in a plug outlet. You know it's going to end badly, but every time you try to help, the kid throws a fit. And then somehow electrocution is contagious, I don't know. Bad metaphor, I guess, lol.
@LordShadowfire Education helps. Learning the details of what a vaccine is and how it works goes a long way.

@CestManan No, I don't think they did. When I was in college, I took a special interest in abnormal psychology. After school, I went straight to work in mental health. They're just names we give these cases. In some cases, they reach a point where the person has legal trouble (e.g., flashing in public, murdering someone, etc.)
@CestManan In some cases. I guess society pretty much decides what's normal, and any deviation can be included. It's primarily to label it. Back in the 60s, homosexuality was considered a mental disorder in the DSM. It was removed later on. These things change with time. Each new edition of the DSM adds and takes away.
