The pics on our home page.....

I initially thought the profile pics appearing in the banner were of friends who were currently online, but it seems that's not always the case. Some folks have said they are seeing images of friends who aren't active now, including some who have passed away.

The admins really should have explained how the banner works when they introduced it. My preference would be to not have it all, but it looks like it's here to stay.

It’s not.....there are people who either haven’t been showing any activity in a year or two, and even a couple of people who are deceased. There’s no apparent rhyme or reason to it....which really shouldn’t be surprising at this point.

I think it could also be someone who you have checked something they have posted nut maybe never spoke with , as I read some ones story a few days ago and their pic is now showing on my line up

Even some that were said to be dead have showed up at the top of the screen.

Sure... "Recently" - as in they died almost three years ago.

Ruby, I’m seeing pictures of friends who left years ago, and a couple who are deceased. I’m not sure how they’re being chosen, but it’s not necessarily activity on their part.

Not necessarily recently active. A lot of the ones they show for me haven't been in SW for "weeks," which appears to be the longest time they track.

I am sure they would not dare do that.

Not friends for certain on my own. Possibly those I have interacted with in an argument at that.
