How do you handle people here who try to bait you?

I'm very glad you asked me and only me, Gus!! First, I like to manipulate the nasty ones into baiting me (this is easy). Then, when they have cast their bait, I willingly bite. Finally, when the hook is in my mouth, they are dragged from the bank and submerged until they perish! What fools they are!

Sometimes I play their game to see if they are even a little bit clever. How dedicated are they to the cause. how truly bored are they? And then I get tired of them and go back to pretending they don't exist.

I smile and nod. If online, I just don’t respond.

I typically don't get mad, or say something mean back. I like getting a rise out of others

Ignore them

I'm a really sensitive and emotional person, and sometimes I even take offense to things that maybe weren't meant to be offensive.

So, I fall for it often. But I try to ignore it, and then I just think about it for hours and all of the amazing things I could say in response, knowing that every one would just give the person satisfaction... so I don't. XD

I fall hook, line and sinker every time
