I am in the same boat as you and still haven't found my bearings. I find this site quite interesting albeit a little complicated to navigate. I have not yet asked a question but intensely follow what others, with more seniority, have to say and how they say it.

May I make one suggestion…you should remove who I’m guessing are your daughters from your profile pic. You will find there are some not so nice, and pretty disturbing individuals here who will probably begin messaging you about them.

I have been here for just a few months and found many super nice people to chat with and share life’s journey together. A couple of difficult ones….yes….but that’s everywhere and a part of life. As a stay at home mom there are some really good people here!

Welcome. No hurry holding forth. I think you're doing just fine by reading and listening first, "shooting" later. The forums seem the best way to get involved. Wait until you come across a post that speaks to you. Then "write what you know," as the saying goes. That will serve as a magnet to those with overlapping interests.

p.s. Wouldn't hurt to add an "about me" to your profile. It's a good way to emphasize your interest and to set personal boundaries. Your intro here is wonderful, but it'll get lost in the mass of posts, whereas your profile is always at the top of the stack.
