My introduction

I recently joined this community and I'm still trying to figure out what to say. It's a bit overwhelming at first, but I'm excited to get to know everyone and share my thoughts and experiences. I've been scrolling through some of the posts and I'm amazed by the creativity and kindness of the people here. Hopefully, I'll find my own voice soon and contribute something meaningful to the discussions. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to learning from all of you and becoming a part of this wonderful community.

Welcome. No hurry holding forth. I think you're doing just fine by reading and listening first, "shooting" later. The forums seem the best way to get involved. Wait until you come across a post that speaks to you. Then "write what you know," as the saying goes. That will serve as a magnet to those with overlapping interests.

p.s. Wouldn't hurt to add an "about me" to your profile. It's a good way to emphasize your interest and to set personal boundaries. Your intro here is wonderful, but it'll get lost in the mass of posts, whereas your profile is always at the top of the stack.

What kind of posts speak to you, katy?

@sree251 Irrelevant to OP's question. I'm saying it's what she finds relevant in someone's post that can be a catalyst to a good discussion.

@katydidnt I am trying to get an idea of how to use your advice.

@sree251 By frequenting forums, making value-added replies to OPs whose threads contain posts that pique your interest, and learning from the rest.

@katydidnt Can't you show me examples instead of speaking in metaphors? Have you ever taught kids in nursery school?

@sree251 Sorry, that's ad hominem. Let's stop hijacking the OP's thread. Now.
