@bijouxbroussard I saw one sitting on the back fence last night when I went outside to grab a Coke. I just instinctively started screaming at it, and it casually sauntered away.

@LordShadowfire Not hurrying at all ! Sounds about right.

@bijouxbroussard I definitely feel like I did the right thing yelling, but not approaching it. I've heard horror stories of what happens to people who think they can intimidate a raccoon.

Man they must have been some mean chickens.

That’s so sad

I'm sorry to hear that. Raccoons can do so much damage. My flock has survived close to two years now and getting ready to go through another winter.

Sorry to hear that.

Damn coons.

Lady that lived behind me had that problem and lost around 30 chickens and her dogs killed it one night. Must have been the only one as the slaughter stopped.

Are you sure it wasn't a fox? Sorry for what they or it did. Chickens are pretty vulnerable.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Hey don't blame the raccoons they're just doin their thing
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@metaldog I ain't mad, but at the same time, I bought raccoon repellant.
@LordShadowfire I didn't realise they were so aggro as to attack chickens!

Be careful of minks if you live in Ohio. 40,000 minks got loose this week in northern ohio

@pride49 Somehow a bad time to be a mink in the Covid era. That would go equally for stoats, weasels, ferrets and polecats.
Sorry.
