How do americans feel safe in their houses? certainly american in movies?

they look and feel like they are made out of papier-mache!

Yeah I've always thought it funny too. Some states, they use timber and brick or even stone by but yeah, a lot of places have really secure doors attached to walls you could pretty much just power your way through with relative ease.

@SumKindaMunster well i mainly get it from youtube videos. recently someone was attacked and they used a heavy weapon against he door and it was almost smashed to pieces.

here we have big wooden doors. very thick!

If people feel safer then generally they will spend more money on their living standards as they're not as afraid anymore to lose what they put into it. Perhaps that could be a valid reason?

@MartinTheFirst i just know we got very different ideas out of the 3 piggy story! we said hey the wolf can't come in if we have a strong house but they thought if the house gets blown away i can rebuild it so it doesn't matter if its strong!
