How do americans feel safe in their houses? certainly american in movies?

Movies aren't reality. Movies are fantasy. You can't use mainstream movies as your guide to what a typical American house looks like.

@SumKindaMunster well i mainly get it from youtube videos. recently someone was attacked and they used a heavy weapon against he door and it was almost smashed to pieces.
