How do americans feel safe in their houses? certainly american in movies?

they look and feel like they are made out of papier-mache!

If people feel safer then generally they will spend more money on their living standards as they're not as afraid anymore to lose what they put into it. Perhaps that could be a valid reason?

@MartinTheFirst i just know we got very different ideas out of the 3 piggy story! we said hey the wolf can't come in if we have a strong house but they thought if the house gets blown away i can rebuild it so it doesn't matter if its strong!
