@Changeisgonnacome precisely ... we don't want a president-for-life like Putin, but we don't want to lose someone like FDR after just two terms either, and just have the pendulum do its regularly scheduled swing back to the right (because the way most of the US electorate votes makes no sense ... it's like watching some bizarre tennis match ... back and forth ... back and forth ...)

Maybe we should force corporations to donate matching amounts to both parties..
Open matching donations to the third party that receives the most votes in the prior cycle.
Limit corporate donations to a flat maximum.. regardless of how the funds are made available.
There is to much corporate money in politics..

Stop fetishising over certain details of an outdated constitution, stop likening things found in every modern progressive country such as decent education and healthcare as 'dangerous communism', then sit back and reflect upon which system is *really* shafting the average citizen.
This of course will never happen because Murica is in the grip of a collective psychosis and not even when the money's run out and every last bullet spent will folk be able to sit down and smell the coffee. They'll still be arguing over which make of pickup was best.

I was going to say start paying people fairly, those companies who can afford it. I don't think raising minimum wage is the answer. That's just a guideline and companies will just raise their prices to compensate. This is an expensive world or country. Health insurance and housing is expensive, outrageous. People can't afford it and have to live like shit.
