@SarahAndSamantha Funny how people once saw being left-handed almost as a [b]disability [/b] to be overcome. Now they have desks, scissors, all kinds of implements designed for lefties. My uncle, who was a violinist, bought me a left-handed violin when I was learning how to play.

A lot of us older lefties don’t use them—we became functionally ambidextrous to adapt.

@bijouxbroussard It wasn't even just considered a disability. Lefties were seen as evil. The word 'sinister' even comes from Latin, meaning 'on the left'.

I've lost all ability to do anything lefty. So, her 'therapy' worked. I wonder sometimes if that's why my handwriting is so messy though lol.

@HootyTheNightOwl i was that way in elementary school, but stopped when i overheard my teacher pointing it out, made me feel like a freak. i still can if i take my time and concentrate

@HootyTheNightOwl oh ok, i got practice writing right handed again when i gashed my left hand open and 18 stitches in it and then getting all the fingers to work again after that
