What do you say about those who try to prove that they're better looking than you? (even if they're not)

Whether they are or not is beside the point. The fact they are trying to make you feel less attractive is not only immature, but there is a streak of malice there. Avoid those people because God knows you don’t want malicious people around you. Life has enough of its own troubles without adding to it, when you have a choice.

Firstly good looking is subjective. What is better looking for one observer, might be less good looking for another.
Secondly, if a person has to prove that they’re good looking because, I don’t know, nobody noticed, Then maybe they’re not that nice to look at in the first place.

My 18 year old cousin did that with me recently and he meant to say it in a hurtful way, but the truth is that I in fact look much better than him, so I laughed it off 😌

@Girlygirl Well, I've never had to say this, but I've been compared to actors and girls often throw themselves at me and he just doesn't get that sort of stuff, so I guess it makes sense to follow the evidence. Besides, if I indeed did look better than someone, I don't need to go try to say it to them in order to make it true 😂
