IronHamster · 56-60, M
Get an apprenticeship, earn while you learn, and in five years you'll be making low six figures shutting off the utilities of college graduates the think they are smart but work minimum wage and blame capitalism for their own bad decisions.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@SinlessOnslaught that’s awesome!
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@SatanBurger Hasn't gone yet. We open in a half hour. 🙂
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Jenny1234 Thanks!
PhaqueYou · M
What?

I was 43 when I received my doctorates.

& if folks want to enrich their lives they can.

Is something wrong with that?
just debt @PhaqueYou
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
Like listen, you have more than likely 50 years to go. You'll be saying once a year how it's too late for college and too late to do anything for 50 years. You say you can't afford it but you won't be able to afford anything anyways if you don't do anything or just give up. So if there's a will, there's a way.. if you have no will then there is no way I guess.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@Spoiledbrat You are worried about being taken advantage of in a deal. In a socialist system, the scheisters you worry about control the government, and you get no choice.
I think he accidentally posted it to the wrong post. @thewindupbirdchronicles
@Spoiledbrat Seemed that way and felt it should be pointed out. The discussion is interesting, but likely should be taken back to where it started?
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@thewindupbirdchronicles Yep. I jumped from the subthread to the top. My bad. I'm not sure how to fix that.
You can get an associate degree. You can apply for the pell grant. It'll pay for it and you'll have money left over for living expenses.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
So nobody can tell when they're going to die not even people who enter college early. With that said you're 25? Most people pass on in their 80s or 90s now. That's at least 50 years to do something with your life, even if you passed younger, that's still at least 40 years.

So you're honestly telling us that even though you have almost 40 years to go, it's just far to late for four or even eight years of college? When you'll have at least 20 to 30 years to go?

Lmao. Whatever.
TexChik · F
Wrong ! College is for anyone wanting to expand their minds and earning potential . There are plenty of grants out there
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
You’re not too old for college. When I went to college, one of the students in my class was 54
lisasweety · 22-25, F
this is bullshit... ppl of all ages go 2 college especially if ure in the US🙄🙄🙄
doong · 56-60, M
Nothing is too old to learn anything. If you are into it, then Go For It.
OldBrit · 61-69, M
You need to go to a university. I worked at one there are loads of mature students on undergraduate degrees
TempuraShrimp · 26-30, M
@OldBrit I don't want to be the old man in math 101
SW-User
@TempuraShrimp In your 20’s your still considered a baby to the older generation
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@SW-User he'd not be mature student in UK education system at 25
It can be whenever, truly. I attended at 29 for a passion of mine I never desired to turn into work or a career. I never regret that decision.
Elessar · 26-30, M
There was a 70+ woman taking Imperative Programming classes last time I went there physically..

It's not the norm, but it's not exclusive either.
SW-User
That's not really a big difference. I know someone who went to college when they were in their 40s. They aced it too.
smiler2012 · 56-60
{@shallowwater] that is not always the case as if you want to goin certain careers college is part of the curriculum
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
Maybe you drink too much
@DownTheStreet That's a lump in assumptions, don't you think?
DownTheStreet · 51-55, M
@thewindupbirdchronicles read his previous woe-is-me posts
@DownTheStreet Don't know, I don't take all posts on here to perfectly represent a person. If you mean it as an honest suggestion, fine - but I'm not sure it's helpful. They will know more than I upon that.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
I'm 32 and I go to college. I've met college students in their 40's 🤷‍♂️.
PhaqueYou · M
Oh... it's you again.

Never mind.
