Are there any good sites for talking to people when you're struggling?

Sadly, the only threads that get much response are the really dumb ones or the ones where people get to talk about themselves.

Looking on SW for anything meaningful or intelligent is like trying to find a used condom at a Star Trek convention.

I don't know any right now and I agree here is not the best site. I just get ignored or downplayed even by people who claim to care when I am struggling makes it worse and hurts more. Hang in there and if I find a site with people who give good support and seem to actually care I'll send it your way ((hugs))

I am less than a month old in SW. But I dont think it is of much use for the purpose you mention unless you are a regular over a few years and have a close circle of known friends.

Try stackexchange. It’s highly moderated and everything is open on forums. They don’t allow private chats. So things would be clean and moderated all the time. If you are ok with that it may help.

“Vent” can be a good place but it is normally a place for teens and twenty something adults.

You might be able to find good people to talk to here but I would recommend a therapist
