In what ways have you improved yourself since the pandemic started?

Oneofthestormboys · 100+, M
I gave up a job that was killing me and that I utterly despised. They forged ahead like covid didn’t exist, and I was told “the customers don’t want to hear excuses”. Er, there’s a global pandemic going on unless you haven’t noticed...
Anyway. I’m gone and thank f**k!

I got that every day @blindbob.
Working understaffed (due to covid) but forbidden from explaining to customers why the service wasn’t delivering at 100%.

@Oneofthestormboys It's amazing how employers treat us like tools, not people.

@blindbob Not anymore matey 😊

Immersed myself in reading up on matters of law concerned with my work.
Have made new contacts with new people specialising in education; health and well-being of youngsters in their specific fields.

I’ve had better lines of communication with my children. And been surprised at their openness.

There’s even a Secretary who works directly for one of the bosses I work for whose ‘flirting’ has gone from occasional quips to full on asking me for a date once circumstances allow !

@Picklebobble2 Wow! You had a full glow-up during the pandemic. Well done!

@blindbob Oh I’m sure it’ll all end in tears 😄
But for now at least it sounds promising

I’ve realized more of my anger issues and have worked on them (still working on them).
I also exercise a lot more, but I’d already been working on that.
And I’m eating healthier.

@blindbob Poor coping methods and letting stress all build up instead of addressing it in the moment.
blindbob · 41-45
@SW-User I see. Well good luck to you.

@blindbob Thank you. 🙂

I started working out for the first time in my life. I was really getting tired of feeling out of shape. I surprised myself that I haven't given up and it's now a part of my daily routine.
blindbob · 41-45
@Peapod Woot! Woot! You got this!
Peapod · 61-69, F
@blindbob Thank-you! I really was afraid I would not do this for the long run, but now that I see and feel the benefits, I am not letting go! It's kinda nice to get in shape at my age. 🙂

TheLordOfHell · 41-45
