Is anyone else having a problem re-entering the world since lockdowns have ceased and cities are opening up?

In the beginning, I fought to get access to my office, I went on walks every day, I ran errands to CVS and the grocery store just for some social contact, I even wore a mask at the gym. Now I just want to stay home under a blanket. I wear my mask everywhere and prefer not to talk to people.

No, I have no problem. I am an introvert and I thought that this was extreme even for me. People need social contact. Zoom just doesn't cut it. As a society, we cannot hide out forever. If one is lucky enough to make an income from home or has a substantial amount of money set aside, that is great and one can stay indoors. However, the majority of people do not have that luxury. Sooner or later the unemployment checks will stop coming, and we will have to start working. And we will be working harder than ever before and getting less money for it because someone has to pay for all those stimulus checks.

@Bri89 I agree with you. Zoom doesn't cut it. I tried to use the time to talk to people on the phone more, but not many people do that anymore. In general, I think the lockdown brought out my worst qualities. It made me hide in my shell. Now I don't want to come out. I lost my social skills. I'm ultra-conflict avoidant, and in general, I just don't have the motivation to put myself out there. It's terrible.
You’ve been successfully conditioned comrade ✊🏻

Nah, even when it closed down nothing much changed. I miss how little traffic there was.
