Why do both humans and animals do this?

Last time I was sick I slept on my friend's bathroom floor 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃 🤣

The couch is cozy snd I sleep there when sick for convince to the kitchen and bathroom.
My bed is all the way up those stairs over there.

Huh! Never thought of that. I've heard it's common for animals to separate themselves from others while sick. Maybe we have the same instinct?

My cat only picks five places to sleep. Doesn't matter if she's not feeling well.

My chair, her cat tree, the floor in the living room, my bed when I am not sleeping in it.

Yet she usually ends up on her own little round bed on one of the two couches if I am sleeping for any length of time.

I always sleep in my bed with the door closed.

Animals do it to avoid predators

It’s probably because of our massive ego.

We want to be pampered when sick. Animals probably don’t want to be a bother.

People go to lay underneath trees when they know their gonna die.... Dogs go under trees when they need to pee...

The only uncomfortable place I fall asleep is on an airplane- economy class

Like in a corner. :(
