Hard to say. I don't think JFK gets into Vietnam as deep as Johnson did.

On the other hand, I think Reconstruction is a smoother process if Lincoln lived and there would have been less of a chance of the North allowing Confederate lost causers to enact Jim Crow laws starting in the late 1870s.

Read the book (if you can find it anywhere, it was banned by the Warren commission, but u might find it online) called "Rush to Judgment". My parents followed the assassination closely & were impressed with the book. Can't think of authors name though.
