Hard to say. I don't think JFK gets into Vietnam as deep as Johnson did.

On the other hand, I think Reconstruction is a smoother process if Lincoln lived and there would have been less of a chance of the North allowing Confederate lost causers to enact Jim Crow laws starting in the late 1870s.
