How do you feel about living in a cashless society?

The Federal Reserve came out today to say that new cash will not be given out at banks, for Christmas. First the coinage shortage and now the paper money. Tracking and control? All this BS, needs to stop and now but so many do not understand or care.

Every time I hear cashless society, I think of a post-labor resource based economy without any form of money at all. That excites me, and I'm sad I probably won't live long enough to see one. But then I just realize you mean no paper dollars or coins and I really can't be made to care one way or the other really.

@ViciDraco the thing is they have been talkin about a cashless Society for like 25 or more years, and yet here we are still with cash, I prefer it that way because for those of us who owe money, it's not like we have to worry about our accounts getting locked up and being completely broke unable to even buy groceries.

@CestManan I can see that value in it. However, I find that more of a problem with our economic and legal systems than the form the cash takes.

@ViciDraco with cash though you can hide it but if all your money was electronic like they are wanting then there would be no hiding it.

@CestManan My point is that our system shouldn't be favoring the profits of business over the ability to feed oneself so much that you NEED to hide the money.

@CestManan Not true, you'd simply upload/download from your crypto wallet.

@FloorGenAdm Yeah but wouldn't it still be traceable and lockable?

I do not know much about crypto stuff.

@CestManan Traceable probably, but your "wallet" is password protected.
