Do you brush your teeth before going to bed ?

Do you think everyone should
🤪
Yes, and in the mornings too.

Anyone who wishes to keep their teeth and gums in a healthy condition into late old age should make daily brushing a rule. And should avoid sugars in food and drink.

Gingivitis starts with bleeding gums. They become inflamed and painful. If not treated, it turns to peridontitis, which is an infection in the bone of the jaw. It causes the bone to rot and die, which makes the breath smell like a rotting corpse. But because it's there all the time, the person who has it is desensitised and can't smell it - only others can. The infection causes plaque to build up in the arteries, which causes heart disease, and if left untreated causes death.
It's extremely expensive to get peridontitis treated, and after the cure, when many teeth have been removed, it's extremely expensive to get dentures.

Believe me, regularly brushing teeth pays big dividends.

Erm yeah, I do more than brush ... I brush, floss... then use mouthwash and teeth whitener strips/pen which has hydrogen peroxide in it 🤭

I’m ocd when it comes to my mouth

I brush my teeth in the morning. For some reason, if I brush my teeth at night, I always wake up with a dry mouth and bad breath, which isn't a good sign.
Losinghope · 31-35, F
@FaeLuna oh really ! I didn’t know that ..
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@Losinghope Well, I know dry mouth can lead to complications later if it's a recurring problem, so I try to avoid causing it as much as possible. Ironically, if I drink water before bed, I get dry mouth too. Not sure why that is either.
Losinghope · 31-35, F
@FaeLuna I am sorry to hear that 😒

Yes, I do. What others do is none of my business, but I do think it’s a healthy habit.
