I don’t appreciate people calling my mother the b word, weak and a lousy woman. That hurts! 😡 Why can’t she be like other moms?!

My mom and I don’t talk. She abandoned us when I was 7. I tried calling her but she never returns my calls but she sends letters. At least I know she’s alive. When I needed her advice on my first period or boys, she never returned my calls at all. Even for emotional support, NOTHING. She would tell me to get over myself and stop expecting her to comfort her for emotional support.

My family tells me to let her go, I’m almost an adult and I’m too old to be crying over a woman that wants nothing to do with my life. My best friend said she is a selfish bitch no offense because of what she did. I yelled at them for calling her that but my best guy friend said, “Well it’s the truth.”
My friends were rude weren’t they?

Some times the truth hurts sweetie. Might be time to start listening to your friends and family

@Mono2025 Um.....well she was there for me when I was a baby but my dad said she started being more distant when I got diagnosed with autism, even before then. My sister said I don’t need my mom and I’m an adult so I don’t need to be crying over that crappy woman that left and wanted nothing to do with me. She also said I’m not 7 years old anymore throwing tantrums about mom not coming back and I need to wake up. Wow that was rude.
@LaylaTheTallGirl lol ok your either trolling or just looking for attention. I'm done. Good luck

@Mono2025 You’re MEAN!!!! 🤬
Why do you even like her though? I know she is your mom and it can hurt to be abandoned by choice. But you have to have a reason to like her other than a her having the title of your mom. Do you talk to a therapist about this issue any?

@smileylovesgaming My Aunt has no right to tell me to leave my mom alone. When I was 7 I through a temper tantrum because I wanted my mom but I’ve gotten used to that she isn’t coming back. Maybe she will. My dads girlfriend is cool in all and I’m grateful my aunt stepped in but they’re not my mother. I still need my mom.

@LaylaTheTallGirl I need my mother, too. But she died 37 years ago, and I miss her much. I was just past 29 and had to literally grow up overnight. You will never stop missing your maternal parent (I haven't) but dry your tears, straighten your shoulders, and show people you can be the adult woman you know you can be. Be independent of those members of your family who are so bitter. That is their problem. Maybe they don't want to admit they are getting old. I have a brother like that who is ten months my junior and he thinks I know nothing. It wasn't until I moved over here (six months ago) and began really being independent and finding other friends who were wiling to help me that he got bitter and complained he was "so old". He is 63.

Tell them a bitch is the correct terminology for a female animal. Your family is being unforgiving and their vocabulary is bankrupt.
