Do you consider yourself to be extremely knowledgeable on any subject?

If so, what subject is it?
Peppa · 31-35, F Best Comment
I'm really knowledgable on a subject that subject is me!
Good subject to know,the ancient Egyptians said the most important knowledge is ‘know thyself’. @Peppa

@LukeTheDuke omg thank you for best answer... Wow... Not had one of those in forever
Ha ha enjoy. It was a great answer and something I really believe in. We spend endless amounts of time noticing other people’s flaws or things other people have over us - it’s best first to know ourselves to experience a real sense of balance. @Peppa

Only ignorants consider themselves to be extremely knowledgeable. Because they don't even know the limitations of their knowledge.
helenS · 36-40, F
@LukeTheDuke Those who really have a right to call themselves extremely knowledgeable, usually don't do that, because, the more you know, the more you see the limitations of your knowledge.

I’ve basically been in my industry for 30 years and it is extremely technical. Everyday I do this is another day I realize how much I don’t know.@helenS
helenS · 36-40, F
@Hikingguy ... only indicating that you're an expert in the field.
no but i feel pressured to speak out about the moronic and ugly side if this place, vengeful, needing/cultivating negativity, attacking others directly cause its safe supposedly.

just had to block another one who called me an age-ist and disparaging name for analyzing his "who u hating?" ugly-bating question.

Crochet 🤷‍♀️ There is always more that I can learn about everything else.
MartinII · 70-79, M
Not extremely, but moderately. Wagner’s operas.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@helenS Thank you - of course, not even the greatest expert could claim to know everything about Parsifal.
helenS · 36-40, F
@MartinII In fact probably even Wagner himself did not know everything about his own Parsifal. Artists often do not know the meaning of a work that was created by the genius inside them.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@helenS Absolutely.
I know a decent amount about PTSD and diabetes. I wouldn't say extremely knowledgeable, though.
Good to know about health issues. @boklenholley7
purplepen · 51-55, F
@boklenholley7 Feel free to share info here or in the stories section. Those are big topics and need a lot of info.
@purplepen 😀

Not anymore. The world is advancing quickly and my desire to keep up to date with things is lacking.
The pace of change and the information overload can be daunting.@Quizzical
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@LukeTheDuke So much so that I've pretty much given up.

Add to that the fact that you can no longer trust anything you see, hear, or read anymore.

Political spin has inveigled it's insidious way into everything 🤷‍♂️
luvbug · 22-25, F
i know a good amount of the sciences
That’s great. I really wish I’d paid more attention to science at school, as it is truly fascinating.@luvbug
