Wrong, it's 33 years between the Civil War ending in 1865 and the Spanish-American war starting in 1898.

What are you talking about?
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@RandomForest That requires a very loose definition of the word "war"
@HoraceGreenley Not as loose as you'd hope. I mean we can call Vietnam a police action but..can we really?
HoraceGreenley · 61-69, M
@RandomForest No but some skirmish somewhere doesn't constitute a war

Okay. War has changed. Evolved if you will. The Civil War saw the rise of the scorched earth policy to deny the South the means to wage war and this led to war being a more destructive economic tool as well as a military one. Now war has evolved to the point where military engagements are a last resort. War is geopolitical and economic. So China and the US have been at war in that sense for a decade or more and America has lost. China is solidly in American territory and America is hiding behind tariff walls and staging a retreat. If accounts had to be settled next week, China could claim a few agricultural states as settlement. Thats just how it is.

That's factually wrong, but ok.
@Shutup we were in Afghanistan, Nicaragua and Lebanon.
@Shutup and between the wars in Iraq we invaded Haiti and fought in Bosnia.
@RandomForest but you were talking about wars not military or police actions

Oh, at least, another thousand years. A true American carries the seeds of his or her empire within them; wherever they settle, an empire quickly flourishes!

I give it 30 years, and that's being generous. And I'm just judging by how things have gone since 2015 or so.
