Remember, adding negitive consequences is garbage for motivation and training. Add good things, take negitive things away, take good things away. Don't add negitive consequences.
Help them find what they are good at.
Set something achievable, achievable for them, something good. And do not change that standard. The most important rule to success is consistently and the vast majority if people and adults can't be consistent.

I remember when I got smart with my parents they would take something l valued from me and if I kept it up they would just keep talking things. No pocket money no playstation no tennis racket, I quickly realised if I kept it up all I would be left with was my clothing 🤷♀️
