I've painted myself into a corner

and agreed to "celebrate" Christmas with the family despite having big feelings about the uselessness of it all. My ma is a Buddhist and my father an atheist: no major godbotherers in the family so I've that to be thankful for. I'm just going to drink my fill and play Lego with my nephew.

none of my family is religious either
so we celebrate Christmas with our own traditions
like Christmas Brunch and opening present between
brunch and early dinner
