A lot of people hate Ant-Man for being a ripoff of Micron an the Atom, but with the oddly specific ability to speak to ants.

I think it has more to do with his mindset always seeing the downside in everything they touched on it in a few stories in the past five years or so

[c=#4C0073]I don't remember the atom being able to grow? antman/ Giant man has the ability to shrink, grow, and talk to ants... He eventually developed the ability to fly as well.[/c]

The movie Ant Man did a great job of jettisoning all the baggage that comes with Hank Pym, the original Ant Man, and focusing on Scott Lang instead. Although as a kid, I loved the tragedy of Hank Pym.

@VioletRayne: I do believe the Atom is able to grow but I may be mistaken. The Atom is significantly more powerful than Ant-Man or other size-based superheroes like Micron or Giganta. He has complete molecular control over his body, which means he is rivaled only by characters like the Flash or Plastic Man.
